Tembea Youth Centre for Sustainable Development (TEMBEA) founded in 2003, registered April 2006 as a community based development organization with the department of gender and youth affairs, under the Ministry of Youth, Gender and Public services
TEMBEA advances empowerment, stewardship, and sustainability through four pillars: Environment, Climate Innovation, Social Rights, and Institutional Growth.
Tembea Youth Centre runs community-based programmes with local and global partners in Siaya County, focusing on climate action, sustainability, empowerment, and community ownership to address key development challenges.
