Bridges Project

Bridges Project

The BRIDGES Project is a collaborative initiative enhancing climate resilience in Kenya, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Implemented by Tembea Youth Centre for Sustainable Development and 2 local Organizations in Kenya, in partnership with BBC Media Action, it bridges the gap between climate scientists, journalists, local leaders, and communities to improve preparedness for extreme weather.

In Kenya, the project demonstrates how timely, accurate weather alerts can save lives and protect livelihoods. By connecting communities with reliable climate information, BRIDGES empowers people to make informed decisions in the face of climate challenges.

BBC Media Action, the BBC’s international charity, harnesses media and communication to tackle poverty and drive long-term change. Working closely with partners, they ensure development efforts bring lasting, community-led impact.

The BRIDGES project shows how communication and collaboration are key to building climate resilience.
