Tembea Youth Centre for Sustainable Development is an indigenous Community Based development Organization based in Ugunja Sub county, Siaya County Kenya, founded in the year 2003 and officially registered in 2006 with the Ministry of Sports, Gender, Culture and Social services under then national plan for community development. The Organization has evolved as a Centre for Excellence in the Community Empowerment, Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability. TEMBEA has four programmatic areas; Environment and Natural Resources Management, Climate change innovation and Education, Economic and Social Rights, and Institutional Development.
